Kalam is the art of telling a story in engraving, and the story on these is bahaar — spring, birds and flowers worked line by line into the brass. Each is engraved by hand in Lahore in that tradition. Kalam work was always meant to turn an everyday bowl into something a family kept; that is all I wanted these to be.
