The Meaning of Maeraas

Maeraas is derived from the Urdu word Miras (میراث), meaning Heritage or Legacy. It is a purposeful bridge between ancient artistry and the modern sanctuary. While our silhouettes are curated for a global aesthetic, our soul is rooted in the rhythmic pulse of our artisans.

"True luxury lies in the honest weight of solid metal and the visible mark of a human hand."

The Soul in the Metal

Maeraas began with a trunk of heirlooms and a decade of questions. My family's journey from India to Pakistan was marked by heartache and hope, but they carried more than memories. They carried a treasure trove of brass and copper.

Growing up surrounded by these pieces, I didn't just see decor; I saw a lifeline to a heritage that was as vibrant as it was fragile. These objects were silent witnesses to our history.

Human by Design

Human by Design

After a decade in global HR, I saw a world becoming increasingly automated and sterile. Moving to Singapore allowed me to see our heritage through a new lens. It was the moment I realized that true luxury lies in the honest weight of solid metal and the visible mark of a human hand.

I felt a deep calling to return to the "Human by Design", reconnecting the modern world with the slow, intentional pulse of the artisans I grew up admiring.

From Singapore to the Walled City

Today, Maeraas lives between two worlds. From my sanctuary in Singapore, I curate silhouettes for a global aesthetic, while our heartbeat remains in Pakistan. We have built a dedicated studio where we partner directly with third-generation artisans. This is a stewardship of nearly lost techniques, and a commitment to honouring those who carry this knowledge.

A Symphony of Ancient Crafts

We do not simply source products. We steward a diverse lineage of nearly lost techniques, each one a language spoken only by those who have spent a lifetime learning its words.

The Fire

Ancient Sand Casting for heavy, honest forms.

The Rhythm

Hand-Hammering and Engraving that turn metal into a canvas.

The Detail

Delicate Needlework and Etching that require years of mastery to perfect.

The Modern Heirloom

We do not chase scale; we chase permanence. Most of our pieces are made in limited quantities, allowing them to remain thoughtful, personal, and rare. Every craft scar on our brass is a signature of human intent, a testament to a moment in time, not a flaw in production.

We are here to ensure that these ancient techniques do not just survive the tide of change — they lead it.

As you welcome Maeraas into your space, you are not just a collector; you are a guardian of cultural legacy.

Welcome to Maeraas. Heritage reimagined for the modern sanctuary.
